How do I install veritas cluster server (prompt driven)?


  • You can install VCS in two ways via the Veritas Installer (installer) or the VCS
    installer (installvcs).

    To install VCS

    # ./installvcs

    Follow the prompts, as part of the installation you can configure the cluster
    or run it after by running

    # ./installvcs -configure

    To automate installations run installvcs like this

    # ./installvcs -responsefile /tmp/response_file

    To install the VCS packages without configuratuon

    # ./installvcs -installonly
