How do I check the number of dmp paths on disks in veritas?

To check the number of device paths to a particular disk with veritas, that uses dynamic multi-pathing (DMP), run the following command:

# vxdmpadm getdmpnode nodename=c4t0d0s2
NAME                 STATE     ENCLR-TYPE   PATHS  ENBL  DSBL  ENCLR-NAME

c4t0d0s2             ENABLED   FAS960       8      8     0     FAS9600

Under paths you can see 8 paths. Each LUN has 4 devices paths, if you have two fibre channel cards, and each fibre channel card has two ports, that makes 4 ports, in total, hence 4 device paths. The other 4 device paths to make up 8 comes from the other controller, in the case above this is "c5".
