How do I find out how much space is left in my veritas disk group?

To determine free disk group space, run the following command:

#  vxassist -g unixbod_dg01 maxsize
Maximum volume size: 3414016 (1667Mb)

Here there is 1.6 odd gigs of space to create volumes. The -g is for disk group. If there is not space to create new volumes you'll see a message:

VxVM vxassist ERROR V-5-1-752 No volume can be created within the given constraints
