How do I disconnected USB device on my solaris systems?

Make sure nothing is using the USB device, try fuser on the device name

# volrmmount -e zip0

or

# eject

then

# /etc/init.d/volmgt stop

Disconnect the USB device

# /etc/init.d/volmgt start
