How do I monitor resources on AIX?

To monitor processes under AIX, use the Resource Monitoring and Control software, this is built into AIX and is started by default on AIX 5L, it is the basis of High Availability Cluster Multi-Processing (HACMP) and Communications Storage Manager (CSM). The tool has predefined conditions to monitor, but you can create your own too, it also has the ability to take an action on a condition.
