In hpux 11iv2 you can have multiple kernel configurations for various tasks and put them into place when required, this save you having to change the same kernel configuration over and over again.

Configuration Title
backup Automatic Backup
crashconfig created during initial installation
last_install Created by last OS install

This configuaration show three kernel configurations.
