How do i disable the legacy redhat rhn classic software update mechanism?


  • The redhat Subscription Management has replaced RHN Classic software updates mechanism. To disable RHN Classic do the following:

    Edit the file /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/rhnplugin.conf under main section change enabled.

    enabled = 1

to 

enabled = 0
