How do I unload a redhat kernel module?

To load a kernel module, you need to know the name of it. Kernel modules on redhat are kept in
/lib/modules/{kernel_version}/kernel/
For example to load the sierra kernel module.
Check it does not exist before. loading.
$ lsmod | grep sierra sierra 24576 0
Unload the module. modeprobe with
-r
option calls the rmmod command.$ sudo modprobe -rv sierra rmmod sierra
Check again.
$ lsmod | grep sierra
