The articles in this section are not intended to be a full explanation on the topics; the vendor documentation does a good job of that already, it is however to provide some key facts and useful links to learn more.
The diagrams are just for conceptual diagrams for the service, and it does not contain all possible components that can be setup with the service, for example Availability Zones, VPC's, agents running on instances and similar.
