What is MC/Serviceguard?

MC ServiceGuard is the Cluster software for HP 9000 systems, used in High Availability h/w configurations. HP-UX processes are groups in something called packages so if one node in a cluster fails the package running on it will be transfered to another machine in the cluster. Clusters can be made up to a max of 16 nodes, nodes is just another name for system in this case
