What is HP (HP-APA) Auto-Port Aggregation?

  • HP Auto Port Aggregation is a software product that creates trunks or fat pipes out of network ports on network cards. Grouping together multiple ports creats a trunk or an aggregation.

It is used for greater bandwidth, load-balancing (LB), and network card failover. The network card failover part is called LAN Monitor.

    IPv6 support comes only with HP-UX 11.23, 11iv2
