Note: This assumes you know the timezones values.

You can list the timezones values using:

$ timedatectl list-timezones

You are in the pacific west coast of the United States and you want to know the local time in the UK.

Your local time in Los Angeles.

$ date 
Sat Nov 24 07:01:44 PST 2018

The time in London.

$ TZ=Europe/London date
Sat Nov 24 15:01:44 GMT 2018
