How do I set the VxVM naming scheme for disks?


  • To set enclosure based naming run

    # vxddladm set namingscheme=ebn

    To set operating system based naming run

    # vxddladm set namingscheme=osn

    Note this has no effect on Fibre Channel devices which include WWN.
